Basic Engineering

Basic Engineering is an overall design plan in a plant that includes main components such as conveyors, silos, piping and transfer systems. In this phase we design the plant based on process demands. This phase determines fundamental specifications and layout of all major equipment required for plant’s operation.

During basic engineering we develop the following deliverables:

  • Block Flow Diagram (BFD) and Process Flow Diagram (PFD)
  • Material Mass Balance and Process Description.
  • General Arrangement Drawing (GAD) showing major equipment.
  • Technical Specification for main equipment and machines.
  • Preliminary Control Philosophy for automation and safety systems.
